Make your teenage years a triumph, not a tragedy.

Junior High, & High School is a really peculiar time in life. Your body goes through this weird thing called puberty. You start thinking in a different cycle, your body starts changing in awkward ways, & basically your life is turned upside down. Physically, you are becoming mature. But my darlings, that does not mean that your mind is in a mature spot.
One of the most annoying topics I was taught (constantly) was on dating. Everyone knew you weren't suppose to date until you turned sixteen. When you turn sixteen, you need to start dating in groups. Not one on one, or else that will cause you to get too close to the opposite sex. If you become too close to them, that means you are boyfriend and girlfriend. You shouldn't have a girlfriend or a boyfriend until you are in college.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was the lesson we received. All the time.
Blah-blah-blah.
Now there's this word. I'm sure you've heard it before. It still makes me feel uncomfortable.  Intimacy. There are different levels of this. I promise though, the moment you are intimate, you begin to realize you like it. Then the levels escalate.
Starts off as texting, then hanging out, then hugging, then cuddling, then walking around holding hands, then BANG you're kissing. He's a really great kisser. So you kiss more then once.
Darling, you've progressed.
These days, a typical relationship will progress to kissing within a two week period. Now I'm not saying everyone will. But, I want to raise awareness that statistics are against you.
Within two weeks, a couple would have gone through six stages of intimacy. A typical relationship in high school, lasts three months. In three months, you're getting about 90 days. (Give or take.) It took fourteen days to become kiss, & now you have on average another 76 days to not progress physically.
At 13, 14, 15,16 your body is just maturing. You start getting something called hormones. They make you think of people differently. In your teenage years, your hormones are at their peak.
To find someone who is strong enough to withstand temptation, brave enough to wear the armor of god, and humble enough to be worthy of the blessings of the gospel.
That is who you want.
One day, you'll find that person. You'll fall so in love, that you will want to get married.
But, will you be worthy to be married to in the temple of the lord, for time and all eternity?

Now is the time to prepare to meet your Prince. It is not the time to kiss every frog, in hopes of finding a Prince.
